# `databases`

Shared PostgreSQL (Aurora) database cluster.

| `Serverless` | Use an Aurora Serverless v2 PostgreSQL cluster. Capacity scales automatically within the range set by `Size`, and SSL is required by default (see `ParameterGroupCluster`). | `ParameterGroupCluster` | Create a cluster parameter group that requires SSL (`rds.force_ssl`) for all database connections. Only used when `Serverless` is enabled. | `Size` | Capacity of the database. For a provisioned cluster this sets the instance class: `small` = `db.t4g.medium`, `medium` = `db.t4g.large`, `large` = `db.t4g.xlarge`. For a serverless cluster it sets the autoscaling range in Aurora capacity units (ACUs): `small` = 0.5–16, `medium` = 2–32, `large` = 8–64. | `string` | `medium` | no |
